February 27 Deb's Wedding (Photos)Last weekend Susan’s sister Deb got married (to Tony) and the babies attended their first wedding. According to a lot of the wedding guests, they both did awesome. The babies were really well behaved during the ceremony and never cried. The only sound they made was a loud “pffftttt” sound as they blew air out of their mouths with their tongues sticking out. It was actually quite funny, and when one would start the other would often echo… back and forth… sometimes during very serious and emotional parts of the ceremony. The babies were also very fascinated by the rings that were passed around and wanted to grab them because anything that shinny had to be delicious and go straight into the mouth. There were also candles in the ceremony and the babies were dazzled by the flame and both Susan and Laure had to hold a baby in one arm, and the candle stretched out as far away as possible in the other arm. Marc had been asked to be the photographer for the wedding so he was very busy, so it was great having Laure along to help out and provide a couple extra hands. February 24 Nanny Cam View (Photos)As I've mentioned in previous posts, we have a nanny cam. It consists of two cameras, one in the play room and one in the nursery. I tune in a couple of times a day for a few minutes to get my "baby fix". I took a few screenshots of what I see to show everyone.
The first picture is of Julie and Alex in their cribs taking a nap. I think it's very cute how Alex likes to sleep on his side. If they are going to sleep or have just woken up, I'll see them lifting their legs and moving around.
The second picture is of the playroom. You can see Alex and Julie in the Jumperoo and Exersaucer. When the play on the floor, the view is obstructed by the treadmill. February 10 Sitting up (photos)I didn't use the nursing pillow for nursing, but it's great for sitting up. Julie can sit up on her own, but she can't do it for too long. She falls over and the nursing pillow is perfect to catch her. It also gives her just enough support to help her sit up longer. She'll play with toys differently sitting up than laying down. She's becoming quite the big girl! February 02 6 month checkupMarc took Julie and Alex in for their 6 month checkup today. Of course they passed with flying colors and are the envy of every other baby on the planet. Here are their stats.:
Alex:
Weight: 16 lbs. 7 oz. (50th percentile)
Height: 27 1/4 inches (75th percentile)
Head Circumference: 46 cm (95th percentile) He's going to be one smart kid!
Julie:
